The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Surpasses 1 Million Pre-Orders

There’s this game called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – you probably haven’t heard of it – that has some people excited. Today the developer, CD PROJEKT RED, issued a press release stating the game has exceeded one million pre-orders.

Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD PROJEKT RED had this to say regarding the positive news:

We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support.

This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard – over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.

The third in the highly successful Witcher series, Wild Hunt has been built from the ground up for current gen consoles and PC. Because of the decision to focus on the latest technology it’s shaping up to be the most ambitious yet.

There are 90 battle animations (70 more than The Witcher 2), the map is reportedly 30 times bigger than 2, features no loading screens and takes 40 minutes to traverse while on horseback.

The game comes out worldwide in just over a week on Tuesday 19th May for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Are you, like myself, one of the million+ that have pre-ordered The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? You better be.
